¡¡Bienvenido otoño!! - Welcome Autumn!!

   Aunque el calor ha vuelto con fuerza creándonos la falsa ilusión de que seguimos en verano, el pasado 23 de septiembre inauguramos oficialmente el otoño. En breve llegará el tiempo propio de esta estación y con él las hojas de los árboles cayendo, días y sobretodo tardes más cortas, ganas de disfrutar tejiendo en el sofá con una manta sobre nuestras piernas... El otoño crea en mí sentimientos encontrados. Por un lado, me siento triste al tener que despedir mi amado verano y las vacaciones, aunque hace años que parecen siglos, que no las tengo. Por otro, entusiasmada con nuevos proyectos que quiero que vean la luz en este nuevo año lectivo, pues para muchas personas septiembre significa el inicio de una nueva etapa a la par que comienza el colegio, universidad, etc.

Cesta-caja de trapillo con pez de ganchillo

   De manera inconsciente me encuentro hoy aquí en mi ordenador escribiendo una entrada sobre un trabajo que realicé hace ya unos meses, pero que hasta ahora no había tenido tiempo de enseñaros en el blog. En ese trabajo aparece un pez de ganchillo, ese pez que HOY cobra una importancia relevante, el día en que hemos tenido que despedir a Gabriel... Muchos sabréis a qué historia me refiero, otros no.

   Unconsciously I am here today on my computer writing an entry about a job I did a few months ago, but until now I had not had time to show you on the blog. In that work appears a crochet fish, that fish that TODAY takes on a relevant importance, the day we have had to say goodbye to Gabriel ... Many of you will know what story I mean, others do not.

   Me gusta realizar trabajos nuevos, cosas que nunca haya hecho hasta ahora porque gracias a ellos adquiero nuevos conocimientos y aprendo nuevas técnicas. El trapillo no es nada nuevo para mí pero nunca lo había utilizado como base para decorar una caja de cartón. Lo mejor es que a la persona que le he hecho este encargo ya le hice una cesta de trapillo con los mismos colores pero redonda y sin caja.

   I like to do new jobs, things that I have never done before because thanks to them I acquire new knowledge and learn new techniques. The trapillo is nothing new to me but I had never used it as a base to decorate a cardboard box. The best thing is that the person that I have made this order I just made long time ago a trapillo basket with the same colors but round and without box.

   Lo que nunca había hecho hasta ahora era un aplique de ganchillo. Hasta ahora todos mis trabajos han tenido volumen, como los amigurumis. Así que cuando me dijo que quería que tuviera un pez me puse a buscar en la web el más bonito y así encontré este modelo. La verdad es que el original tiene otros colores y al cambiárselos he conseguido transformarlo bastante. Para que podáis comprobarlo os dejo un enlace para que veáis una foto.

   What I had never done before was a crocheted applique. So far all my works have had volume, like the amigurumis. So when she told me she wanted that the basket had a fish, I started looking for the most beautiful one on the web and that's how I found this model. The truth is that the original has other colors and when I changed them I managed to transform it a lot. So you can check it I leave a link for you to see a photo.

   Una vez que tejí la cesta introduje dentro la caja, que es bastante recia, y pegué las dos cosas con silicona caliente. Los colores que he utilizado para tejerla han sido el gris y el azul oscuro.

   Once I crocheted the basket I put inside the box, which is quite sturdy, and I glued both with hot silicone. The colors I have used to crochet it have been gray and dark blue.

Regalo de navidad para Susana - Christmas present for Susana

   ¡¡Feliz año nuevo a todos los que me leéis!!Antes de todo voy a deciros que estoy trabajando y por eso no sé si voy a poder publicar una nueva entrada todas las semanas. Yo lo seguiré intentando pero no prometo nada. Hoy os voy a enseñar muchas cosas nuevas que hice antes de Navidad y que mandé a Estados Unidos, pues allí vive una amiga virtual, Susana, que hace ganchillo como yo.

   Happy new year to all who read me !! First of all I will say that I am working and therefore do not know if I will be able to publish a new post every week. I keep trying but no promises. Today I'll show many new things I did before Christmas and sent to the United States because there lives a virtual friend, Susana, who does crochet like me.

   Os lo enseño después de la navidad porque he querido esperar a que lo recibiera, ya que era un regalo y quería que fuera sorpresa. Una de las cosas que le mandé fue este pequeño árbol de navidad. Es pequeño porque es para colgar en el árbol o donde cada uno quiera. Si queréis hacerlo os dejo el enlace aquí de donde saqué el patrón que está en inglés pero lo traduje al castellano y os lo dejo aquí de manera gratuita(todavía no he tenido tiempo de montar el patrón, así que lo tendréis en breve en el enlace).

   Como veis el patrón es bastante sencillo. Decoré el árbol con perlas cosidas y un lazo blanco. Vosotros podéis hacer vuestra combinación de colores preferida, yo he elegido los colores marrón, verde y rojo. También quise hacerle un packaging así que utilicé una bolsa de celofán, baker twin y un tag navideño. Este árbol lo tenéis disponible en mi tienda Etsy pinchando aquí.

   You see the pattern is quite simple. I decorate the tree with sewn pearls and a white tie. You can make your preferred color scheme, I chose the brown, green and red. I also wanted to do a packaging so I used a cellophane bag, twin baker and a Christmas tag. This tree I have available in my Etsy shop by clicking here.

   A parte también le envié esta pequeña corona navideña hecha con ganchillo. Hacía mucho tiempo que la había visto y por suerte encontré el vídeo-tutorial en Youtube y os lo dejo aquí por si queréis hacerla. El único problema es que está en portugués pero es fácil de entender. Me gustaría haceros el vídeo-tutorial en español si estáis interesados, así que darme vuestra opinión en los comentarios.

   Besides I also sent this little Christmas crown made with crochet. Long ago I have seen it and luckily found the video-tutorial on Youtube and I leave here if you want to make.    El packaging que hice para la corona es muy parecido al del árbol salvo por el washi tape dorado que le puse. Como veis también se puede colgar en el árbol y para decorarla le puse cintas navideñas y una campana. Esta corona también la tenéis disponible en mi tienda Etsy, aquí.

   The packaging I did for the crown is very similar to the tree except for the washi tape I put gold. As you see you can also hang on the tree and put him to decorate Christmas ribbons and a bell. This crown also have available in my Etsy shop here.

   Lo último que le hice a Susana fue una tarjeta navideña de estilo vintage y también hice su sobre a juego. Me gustó muchísimo el resultado porque es un estilo que me gusta mucho.

   The last thing I did to Susana was a Christmas card in vintage style and made its matching envelope. I really liked the result because it is a style that I like.

Una bonita historia... - A nice story...

   Hace casi un año me hicieron un encargo muy especial. Para mí ha sido hasta ahora uno de los pedidos más importantes y a la vez el que más tiempo requiere para realizarse. Quiero contaros como sucedió todo.

   Almost a year ago I made a special order. For me it has been so far one of the most important orders and also the most time-consuming to perform. I want to tell you how it all happened.

   Un día compartí en mi página de Facebook un maravilloso ramo de novia hecho por los creadores del blog According to Matt. La profesora de mi hija mayor, que sigue mi trabajo, vio esta publicación y me pidió si podía hacer un ramo parecido a ese. 

   One day I shared in my Facebook page a wonderful bouquet made by the creators of the blog, According to Matt. The teacher of my eldest daughter, who follow my work, saw this publication and asked if I could make a bouquet like that.

   Yo le comenté que sí, que podía intentarlo, ya que se trataba de un trabajo que nunca había hecho y parecía que llevaba mucho trabajo e imaginación. Ella iba a regalárselo a una compañera de trabajo que se casaba ese mismo año.

   I told her yes, I could try, because it was a job he had ever done and it seemed that had long work and imagination. She was going to give it to a colleague who married the same year.

   Me pidió que todas las flores fueran amarillas, ya que es el color favorito de su cuñada, y que fuera más pequeño que el que ella tenía. El resto es igual al primero que hice.

   She asked me all the flowers were yellow, as is the favorite color of her sister-in-law, and it was smaller than she had. The rest is the same as the first thing I did.

Regalando artesanía - Giving crafts

   Primera entrada del año después de las fiestas de navidad. Tengo muchos trabajos que enseñaros, así que poco a poco escribiré a cada uno la entrada que se merece. Estoy haciendo cosas nuevas que no tienen nada que ver con el ganchillo y he incorporado novedades a algunos amigurumis que ya había hecho. Para poner el broche final a la navidad os enseño en esta entrada el detalle que regalé a la profesora de mi hija mayor.

   First post of the year after the Christmas holidays. I have many jobs for teach you so gradually write to each entry it deserve. I'm doing new things that have nothing to do with crochet and have incorporated some news in amigurumis I had done. Sobre de postal navideña

Envelope of Christmas card

   En esta primera imagen podéis ver el sobre que utilicé para meter dentro la postal navideña hecha con la técnica de scrapbooking. Su decoración es muy simple, unas estrellas de goma eva adhesiva y unas perlas también adhesivas.

   In this first picture you can see the envelope I used to get into the Christmas card made with the art of scrapbooking. His decoration is very simple, a foam star adhesive and a sticky pearls.

Copo de nieve de ganchillo

Crochet snowflake

   Aquí está la foto de la portada. El copo de nieve blanco está hecho de ganchillo y tuve que hacerlo viendo un vídeo de Youtube, pues aún no soy muy experta en este tipo de tejido plano. La base de la postal navideña es una cartulina blanca, a la que añadí una cartulina verde recortada con una tijera de formas y encima un papel decorado rojo.

   Here is the cover photo. The white snowflake is made in crochet and I had to watch a Youtube video, because even I'm not very expert in this type of flat fabric.  The base of the Christmas card is a white cardboard, to which I added a green cardboard cut with scissors shapes and above a red decorative paper.

   El interior no es muy recargado. Tiene una pequeña felicitación navideña y un cartel hecho de cartulina verde donde pone "FELIZ NAVIDAD" con un abecedario en sticker. Este cartel tiene en sus esquinas unos washi tapes dorados.

   The interior is not very ornate. It has a small Christmas felicitation and a poster made with green capboard where it says "Merry Christmas" with an alphabet sticker. This poster has in the corners a gold washi tapes.

Bolsillo y etiqueta

Pocket and label

      Éste es el detalle del bolsillo que lleva la postal. Está hecho con un papel decorado rojo con topitos blancos. Y dentro del bolsillo hay una etiqueta navideña que me había gustado de la red e imprimí. Además le añadí un lazo rojo. 

   This is the pocket detail carrying the card. It is made with a red paper decorated with white polka dots. And inside the pocket is a Christmas tag that I liked the network and printed. Also I added a red bow.

   En la contraportada utilicé un sello que pone "Handmade with love" con tinta dorada.

On the back I used a stamp that says "Handmade with love" with gold ink.

Broche de ganchillo

   Además de la postal navideña le hice un broche de ganchillo. Es un diseño sencillo que saqué de la web y ahora mismo no recuerdo donde. Es una flor de dos capas, una marrón y otra blanca. Como toque final le puse un botón muy elegante.

   In addition to the Christmas card I made a crochet brooch. It is a simple design that brought in the web and now I can´t remember where. It is a flower of two layers, one brown and one white. As a final touch I put a very elegant button.

¡¡Que vivan los novios!!

   Sí, ya sé que he tardado unas tres semanas en publicar algo nuevo, pero es que he tenido que invertir mucho tiempo en crear esta manualidad, tanto manualmente como informáticamente, ya que me propuesto enseñaros un paso a paso exhaustivo de cómo lo he hecho para que podáis valorar todo el trabajo que lleva. Sin embargo, el resultado es expectacular y espero que me dejéis un comentario contándome qué es lo que os ha parecido.

   Lo primero de todo decir que esta creación no es una idea original mía, sino que proviene de los creadores del blog According to Matt. En este blog se aportan varias fotos de cómo realizar un ramo lo más parecido a lo que ellos han hecho, pero yo quería proporcionaros hasta los patrones que he utilizado y si aún así os surge alguna duda me podéis preguntar lo que queráis para que os ayude.

   La historia de este ramo surge cuando comparto la entrada al blog que ya os he nombrado en mi página de Facebook y me lo piden para regalar a una amiga que se va a casar. Siempre me gusta personalizar vuestros pedidos al máximo dentro de lo posible. En este caso nos hemos centrado en el color de las flores: blanco, malva y rojo. ¿No diréis que no es un regalo original? Seguro que la futura novia ni se lo espera y tengo ganas de qué me cuenten cuál ha sido su reacción.

   Para empezar, tuve que partir por la mitad una bola de poliexpan por la mitad, que cubrí con una cadeneta de lana blanca gruesa para evitar que se viera el poliexpan entre las flores.

 

   A continuación me dediqué a tejer las flores que fue de lo que más tiempo me llevó. Para que os hagáis una idea, las flores tipo rosas se tarda unos 45 minutos en realizar cada una. Cuyo patrón os dejo aquí.

   Tenía que poner flores de varios tipos y combinando los colores elegidos para que no fuera monótono. Así que también otra flor enrollada y unas pequeñas florecillas. 

   Todas las flores fueron incorporadas en la semiesfera con alfileres de cabeza en forma de perla. Entre las flores también añadí tul blanco.

   Después, con un cartón de unos tres centímetros más grande que la base de la esfera lo recubrí con lazo. También añadí otra semiesfera más pequeña con un cilindro, ambos de poliexpan, bien fijados uno al otro ya que formarían la base por donde se coge el ramo. En la base del cilindro puse este entramado de lazo y el resto lo recubrí con más lazo.

   Y la bola de poliexpan la he cubierto con otra cadeneta blanca, al igual que parte del cartón que ya tenía lazo.

   

   Entre la semiesfera pequeña y el cartón he añadido lazo de varios tonos de blanco para que no fuera todo ganchillo y hubiera mezcla de varios materiales, lana y lazo.





   Así es como queda finalizada la base del ramo. Comprobaréis que todo esto es muy laborioso y necesita mucho tiempo para su realización al tener tantos detalles.



   En el ramo original se añadía un charm debajo del ramo. Yo he querido poner una bonita llave que simboliza la entrada a una nueva vida después del matrimonio.

   Y aquí está el resultado de varias semanas de trabajo, pero con un bonito e increíble resultado.



   Lo bueno que tiene este ramo es que es eterno y siempre se podrá conservar como recuerdo de tu boda. Además se puede utilizar como decoración dentro de un jarrón.
